In 2015 Polo Ralph Lauren Via del Corso opened its store, marking Ralph Lauren’s first Polo store in Italy. Via del Corso, one of the city’s many main streets, situates the new Polo store in the historical heart of Rome. Via del Corso is a popular street for passeggiata, the evening stroll when the populace wears their finest clothes to see and to be seen by others, because of this it is a very important street for shopping for both locals and tourists.

Polo Ralph Lauren Via del Corso’s design, features the merging of ancient Roman Construction techniques with details from Ralph Lauren’s American heritage. Upon initial demolition, ancient Roman construction elements were revealed such as heavy timber floor framing and flat coarse-laid brickwork (opus testaceum). These ancient elements in conjunction with American details, i.e., wood wall and ceiling details, became celebrated elements expressed in the store’s final design. The Polo store showcases apparel, footwear, accessories and leather goods, spread across two levels.
